WHY SUPPORT THE SYMPHONY?
Since 1954, Western Montanans have eagerly anticipated the Missoula Symphony Association’s
concerts, from classical music to our Holiday Pops, Symphony in the Park, Family
Concert and annual Youth Concerts for over 2,000 area 4th graders. In recent years,
attendance has more than doubled and many shows have sold out!
Despite our success, we can’t rely on ticket sales alone to fund our work.
Most symphonies’ ticket sales cover just 1/3 of their costs, and we’re no exception.
Yet, we’re inspired to build on our achievements and realize a long-term vision
that includes additional concerts, increased outreach to rural and low-income Montanans,
and programs in the surrounding communities. To do that, we need your help.

When you play a part in the Symphony, you or your business receive a standing ovation.
Our individual and business donors know that it’s a sound decision to invest in
the community where their friends, customers and employees live and work. They recognize
the importance of the Symphony to Missoula’s cultural and economic vitality. At
the same time, they enhance their visibility and strengthen their reputation as

A full 75% of the Symphony’s annual budget is spent on concerts, education and outreach!
