- We have been providing high quality live symphonic music and cultural enrichment
for Western Montana for 56 years!
- Your support will have a direct impact on the culture of Western Montana. 75% of
the Missoula Symphony Association’s annual budget is spent directly on the concert
experience (guest artist fees, artistic & concert expenses) and for education and
outreach activities.
- Nearly 200 of the finest musicians in Montana participate in the Missoula Symphony
Orchestra and Chorale.
- World-class guest artists regularly perform in our concert series.
- We offer 10 Masterworks performances in a concert season.
- The Symphony guild provides scholarship funding, performing experience and other
support for five University of Montana music students every year.
- We present a free outdoor concert each summer in Caras Park. Over 5,000 Missoula
area residents enjoy Symphony in the Park each year.
- Our annual Youth Concerts provide an enjoyable introduction to symphonic music for
2,000 area 4th graders from around our region.
- Music Director Darko Butorac is in his fourth season with us and Chorale Director
Dean Peterson is in his fifth. They share an infectious energy and high artistic
standards. Together they are leading our ensembles to incredible levels of artistic
achievement, resulting in powerful performances rivaling the quality of any in the
Northwest.

of symphonic music through Missoula Symphony performances. We’re helping make this
